Contextual Essay
For many people having to seek for basic resources such as water,a place to live in as in even the daily nutrients that one as a human being is supposed to be receiving is hard to find. Even the basic thing in life that each one of us should be caring about for it is proven that more than half of our bodies need it and many people are dying because of it is water. These are basic resource that everyone should have but unfortunately some people are found without it. According to The article of “Patterns of Regional and Metropolitan Growth” it states and explains different ways how overpopulation is a social issue, economic and even in an cultural issue. Taking the example as the article states how for a example how in the United States growing population is due to the society but also to the time period in which the action is occurring. By reading the article shows and in many ways proves how societies growth is due to many factors that for many of the population don't really even realize it. Also states the prospective of the issue based on the things that seem to be the cause and the effect of overpopulation.
Based on the population growth according to the article, it states how the number of population increased due to the events that were occurring at the time. Such as the Industrial time in which took place at the time of the 1900-1960s. The growth of population was occurring because due to the opportunities of jobs that were being offered at the time. When jobs were being offered many people decided to migrate from their home town to the place where many of these jobs were being created. But this isn't not only proven in this situation but also in many rural areas such as Miami, Chicago , hey york, And Washington. Places as rural areas are even overpopulation that come from the rural area. This shows how overpopulation in some areas may occur. And even looking at it in a more broader picture one can see how this example applies to the whole world. Some Parts of the world are in some cases more populated than others such as the United States that is more populated than in some part of Africa or Middle Eastern. This shows how in this case the economically it shows how people were motivated to move from one place to another. For the economic reason of wanting to improve themselves economically wise people migrate from one place to another.
Another reason in which also this topic is driven by is by a social issues. As the article mentions as well on how cities are also arev a big reason of population number change is by big cities as mentioned before. Cities are a reason of why people are migrated due to the things the cities have to offer. Many places offer jobs but when it comes to the city it changes a lot the situation. For when jobs are being offered the wage of the worker are quiet more than one is being offered in rural places. But in some cases that not always happening like as the article then states on how new cities are being formed by suburbs. And among these suburbs the population number kept changing due to the people that were migrating as the people that were immigrating from the suburbs. This shows how the number of population is not constant or very unstable due to the people coming in and out.
Lastly this was seen through a cultural lens. Many people say that overpopulation is caused by trying to move to a new place and start a new beginning and yes in many cases it was to improves economically wise. In this finally case is more of a cultural perspective. In many cultures today it shows how in some families the number of members are in very largely proportions while in other the number is very slow. For these reasons it is why in some countries or places the number of people are very huge while in others are small. Well as in my personal perspective in Mexico many families have a lot of family members but now many modern families now only have a certain amount of children.
In conclusion many of the reasons that change the number of population is not only based on one factor but many factors. One of the factors are economic issue such as the jobs that were and are still being offered now a days to many people. Which in many cases are the motivation by which many people move daily. Another one is a social issue in which it states how people move to certain places based on the benefits or attractions the place has. Also by the movement of the people that are heading towards on destination. Lastly it was a cultural issue by how everything from tradition, religion etc. the number of members in the family increase as opposed to others. All of these factors are the reason according to the article shows in its own perspective how population growth changes from time to time.
